Lithium-ion batteries have become an essential component in almost all aspects of human activity. Manufacturing defects, mismanagement and poor knowledge of their characteristics can cause potentially hazardous situation. Numerous incidents are known in which lithium-ion batteries have caught fire and/or exploded.
