This paper intends to illustrate the first results of a research about the mitigation of the dam-ages caused by Natural Risks in the small historical centres of the Italian Inner Areas. The purpose is to develop a Method of analysis and classification of Natural Risks, which provides to the Municipalities a simple instrument to define the risks of the area to allow them to plan efficient mitigation actions. The aim is to systematize the huge amount of information needed to evaluate risks, to produce an intervention priorities ranking, that shows where it is more urgent to operate, in which way and how to manage the economic resources for prevention.
