Safety at work is driving the development of new technological solutions in the era of Industry 4.0. Among others, systems able to monitor physiological parameters are gaining high relevance since such devices have the potential to improve the workers' safety. In this perspective, the respiratory rate can provide useful information since it is sensitive to many environmental stressors. In this study, we focused on the development of a test bench to assess the performance of a wearable system for respiratory monitoring.
