Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) camera sensors are embedded in many consumer electronics products: Thanks to the Rolling Shutter (RS) readout mode, they can detect a time-varying light intensity, which is the key to realize Optical Camera Communication (OCC).
