The paper focuses on the figure of a little-known humanist, Lodovico Vannuccori from Lucca (ca. 1440 - 1513). New evidence is presented about his biography and about his library, which was donated by his heirs to the Chapter of the Cathedral of St. Martin in Lucca. A list of the books which were donated in that occasion is here published for the first time
