The main aim of this thesis work is to investigate the mechanical design of an existing prototype of a wearable knee exoskeleton for stroke survivors. The prototype was recently developed as part of an ongoing project in the BIOMEC group at CREB-UPC known as ENHANCE. However, some issues were identified in the mechanical design, and consequently an investigation to identify the limitations of the current prototype and the development of alternative mechanical design solutions should be performed as part of this thesis work. Additionally, the prototype needs to be completed to make it safe to be used on human subjects.
