Análisis, diseño y monitorización del estado estructural de un hangar para el mantenimiento de aeronaves en Zaragoza

This project consists of the analysis and structural design of a hangar for the maintenance of two Boeing B737 aircrafts used for the transport of passengers and cargo. In order to carry out a useful project in the current context, an extensive study of the current demand for air transport in Spain was carried out and Zaragoza was determined as a strategic point for the transport of merchandise due to its growing demand in recent years. To guarantee the proper functioning of the structure throughout its useful life, a study has been carried out of a real-time monitoring system of the state of the structure that aims to control the maximum horizontal and vertical displacements caused by the dynamic loads and the temperature of the structural elements to avoid their loss of resistance. This control seeks to detect in advance any anomaly that could imply the partial or total collapse of the structure. This topic has a great impact in the current context because these types of structures must remain functional during and after natural disasters, since they are of priority use to attend to basic needs. Regarding the conception of the structure. Initially, a preliminary study of two frame configurations was carried out. Once the optimal configuration was selected, the analysis and design of the structure in 3 dimensions was carried out. Due to the lattice typology of the structure, it is shown that the dominant forces in the structural elements are the axial ones, so the design was based on them. However, it is also shown that with the design based on the interaction of efforts (N, T and Mz) the same result is obtained. For the analysis of the structure, the SAP2000 program was used, in which the properties of the materials, the geometry of the frame, the loads and combinations of static and dynamic actions that are recorded in the Zaragoza environment are defined. For the design of the structure, an Excel spreadsheet was programmed following the deflection and resistance requirements set out in the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE). Regarding the study of the real-time monitoring system of the state of the structure, a preliminary study was carried out to determine the types of existing sensors and which are the ones that provide the best performance according to the needs of the project.
