La aplicación del hormigón reforzado con fibras de acero (HRFA) para losas macizas puede traer varios beneficios en términos de reducción de costes, plazos de ejecución, impacto ambiental y necesidad de recursos. No obstante, el uso de esta tecnología todavía no se ha generalizado como alternativa en la ejecución de forjados de edificación, debido principalmente a ciertos aspectos del diseño que aún quedan por cubrir, desconocimiento asociado al diseño de dosificaciones del HRFA o una estimación minuciosa de los beneficios económicos que puede aportar esta tecnología.
