To study virtual address translation on NoC-based near-data processing frameworks, this thesis project aims to adapt and improve an existing near-data processing simulation infrastructure. As the original work does not put focus on address translation, the simulation mode it supports is naturally inferior in simulating thus behavior, especially pagewalks. This thesis project adapts the above-mentioned simulation infrastructure to a better simulation mode where system-level operations are realistically simulated, and improved the original design by patching some holes that allow some translations to be neglected.
