Peculiarities of Political Culture of Diplomats in the 19th Century (By the Materials of the Demidovs’ Correspondence with Influential Public Officers)

The work is devoted to the study of the specifics of the traditions, rules and practices that make up the political culture of Russian diplomacy in the 19th century. It has been established that the closeness of this group of the political elite, as well as the prevalence of officially unregulated practices, determines the importance of studying documents covering certain aspects of the political culture of these civil servants, compiled by government officials who were related to diplomacy. It is determined that the study of the features of the political culture of diplomats in the XIX century. Allows us to understand the specifics of the modern culture of this group of the ruling elite.Работа посвящена исследованию специфики традиций, правил и практик, составляющих политическую культуру российской дипломатии в XIX в. Установлено, что закрытость данной группы политической элиты, а также превалирование официально не регламентированных практик обусловливают значимость изучения документов, освещающих определенные аспекты политической культуры указанных государственных служащих, составленных представителями власти, которые имели отношение к дипломатии. Определено, что изучение особенностей политической культуры дипломатов в XIX в. позволяет понять специфику современной культуры указанной элитной группы власти
