Coinoculation with plant growth–promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) has been proposed as an efficient method to increase plant growth. In this article we investigate how the interaction between three different AMF isolates (Glomus constrictum autochthonous, GcA; G. constrictum from collection, GcC; and commercial Glomus intraradices, Gi) and a Bacillus megaterium strain isolated from a Mediterranean calcareous soil affects Lactuca sativa L. plant growth.
