Zarautz, Guipúzcoa). - Texto en español con resumen en inglés. - ResumenFor the first time the study of the fossil record of the lacustrine San Chils outcrop Lower Miocene in age (19 million years), located at the Ribesalbes-Alcora Basin, is addressed. Apart of plant remains and vertebrate coprolites, nine families and three genera in five insect orders (Thysanoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera and Diptera) have been identified. A comparison of the fossil records of San Chils and the other relevant outcrop in the basin, La Rinconada in the same sedimentary unit, has been carried out.
