Reunião do Quaternário Ibérico (9º. 2017. Algarve)Full coverage bathymetric digital elevation models (DEMs) have provided an ideal input for quantitative geomorphological analysis of the Gulf of Cadiz mud volcanoes. A geomorphometric analysis of 65 structures has been carried out, by means of 7 variables, in order to quantitatively describe mud volcano size, shape and slope. Subsequently, the application of a grouping analyst ArcGIS tool enables a morphometric classification in four mud volcanoes groups. The morphometric methodology of DEM could give insights into the processes that affect the geomorphology of mud volcanoes.Centro Oceanográfico de Málaga, Instituto Español de Oceanografía, EspañaFacultad de Ciencias del Mar y Ambientales, U...
