[EN] This paper analyzes the production of the Cuban writer Rodolfo Pérez Valero (Guanabacoa, 1947) after his arrival in Miami in 1995. It pays special attention to his crime fiction production, highlighting the social and experimental features of his works. In recent years, Pérez Valero has obtained on several occasions the first prize in the short story award of the Semana Negra of Gijón. Furthermore, this author was one of the key writers in the beginning of the boom that this genre experienced in Cuba during the 1970s and its subsequent development in the 80s and 90s[ES] Este artículo analiza la producción del escritor cubano Rodolfo Pérez Valero (Guanabacoa, 1947) tras su llegada a Miami en 1995.
