The main messages are: - At a time of climate crisis and COVID-19 pandemic, the promotion of associative logistics and distribution must make a decisive contribution to overcoming the bottlenecks that prevent sustainable food producers from upscaling. - New forms of cooperative organisations in sustainable food logistics and distribution, such as food hubs or cooperative supermarkets, are social innovations. They can contribute to upscaling if they are appropriately promoted by public policies. - Public food procurement is a policy with a high leverage effect on the promotion of sustainable food.
