The purpose of this paper is to assert the existence of a database relating the culture collection of marine microalgae sited at the Marine Sciences Institute from Andalusia (Spanish Council for Scientific Research). This collection reports 79 strains, belonging to 10 algal classes, most of them are marine algae, interesting from the aquaculture point of view.
