The energy shift towards renewable energies has brought an increased interest into DC microgrids as a decentralized option with increased efficiency and easier control that can facilitate this transition. Many efforts have been made into the optimization and planning of DC microgrids. In this paper, the authors propose an approach in which a planned DC microgrid can be simulated through the use of linear power flow. This approach allows to study the evolution of the steady state of the microgrid over time. The proposed method allows to simulate the contributions and power limits of batteries, and to obtain the voltages, the currents, and the power injections at each time step.
