Las desigualdades socioeconómicas en la detección y tratamiento de enfermedades no transmisibles representan un desafío para los sistemas de salud de los países de ingresos medios (PRM) en el contexto del envejecimiento de la población. Este desafío es particularmente apremiante con respecto a la hipertensión debido a su creciente prevalencia entre las personas mayores en los PRM, especialmente entre aquellos con un nivel socioeconómico (SES) más bajo.
