Several systematic reviews in the literature reveal that physical exercise contributes to improve sleep in healthy individuals (from adolescence to adulthood) and in populations with physical and mental health problems. Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder in the community. Cognitive-behavioral and pharmacological strategies are effective for insomnia treatment.
