Emotion regulation in work settings: causes and consequences

Overview of results obtained in various Italian samples of workers performing different service jobs \u2022 In self-report questionnaire studies of the nature, extent and consequences of regulation of job incongruent emotions, results obtained from 769 Italian workers showed that they often perform Emotional labor. \u2022 EL influenced workers\u2019 psychological well-being, e.g. causing emotional exhaustion in them. \u2022 Emotional labor varied mostly as a function of job-related variables (e.g., frequency of customer interaction), and personal ones (e. g., job involvement
