International audienceThis volume, based on a selection of statues from the collection of the Museo Egizio in Turin, offers the reader some keys to understanding Egyptian statuary. The author presents the evolution of different styles throughout Egyptian history by analysing the materials employed, with their meanings and implications, the dimensions of the statues, and their different forms, attitudes, and attributes.
