The basic steps of the 32P-postlabelling assay and details currently used in monitoring mussel DNA adducts are reported. Namely, details are given for DNA purification, enzymatic DNA hydrolysis, DNA adduct enhancement, postlabelling/separation and detection of the DNA adducts
