Constructed Awareness (CA) is an approach to psychotherapy that explores how a client's experience is constructed by three domains—thoughts, sensations, and external senses—that form the six Orientation Types of the CA typology. The Constructed Awareness Questionnaire (CAQ) is an assessment that measures how clients orient their awareness and regulate themselves based on their CA Orientation Type. The present study aims to establish the external validity of two versions of the CAQ (CAQ-T and CAQ-S). In the First Phase, three licensed clinicians gave 40 clients the CAQ-T and the DISC, and the scores were compared using Pearson correlation.
