Loss of production, soil degradation and salinity problems common to all agricultural districts which were the focal points of a special WISALTS school which was held in the Kellerberrin district last week. Twenty farmers including some from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia attended the five-day course which was conducted by WISALTS' A-class surveyor, Mac Forsyth, assisted by James Gardner, John Kimber and Laurie Adamson. A wide range of subjects were covered with a focus on the Whittington interceptor system to combat serious salinity problems associated with declining overall farm production.
