This study investigates experimentally the performance, combustion and emission characteristics of diesel engine by using different fuels. Different fuels investigated in this study include pure diesel (diesel100), pure cottonseed biodiesel (CSB100), blend of 5% fuel additive and 95% biodiesel (CSBimp5), and blend of 10% fuel additive and 90% biodiesel (CSBimp10). Performance, combustion and emissions characteristics of diesel engine are studied at engine speed of 1600 rpm, 2000 rpm and 2400 rpm. In the results, it is found that three fuels CSB100, CSBimp5 and CSBimp10 show higher BSFC as compared to that diesel.
