The homeless population continues to rise, and it only becomes more detrimental over time. The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority results of the 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count showed that 66,436 people in Los Angeles County were experiencing homelessness. In the previous year, 2019, Los Angeles County had a count of 58,936 homeless people. From 2019 to 2020, there was a 12.7% rise in homelessness across the county.
