Abstrack. his study aims to determine: 1) whether there is an influence of learning motivation on students’ interest in continuing their studies to college in students of the accounting expertise program at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar, 2) whether parental income affects students’ interest in continuing their studies to college in skills program students. Accounting for SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The variables in this study are learning motivation as the first independent variable (X1), parents’ income as the second independent variable (X2) and student interest in continuing their studies to college as the dependent variable (Y). The population in this study were all students of class XII Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The sampling technique, the population was selected randomly and proportionally in each strata, namely 80 people. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive percentage analysis, instrument test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The instrument test consists of a validity test and a reliability test. The results of this study indicate that learning motivation and parental income simultaneously have a significant effect on students' interest in continuing their studies to college with a significant level of <0.05. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (ie 0.274 (27.4%). This means that the influence of learning motivation and parental income on students' interest in continuing their studies to college is 27.4% while the remaining 72.6% is influenced by other factors In addition, learning motivation partially has a significant effect on students' interest in continuing their studies to college with a significant level of <0.05 and parental income partially has a significant effect on students' interest in continuing their studies to college with a significant level of
