The article focuses on Zygmunt Gloger’s writings about his travels from 1872 to1899, included in the publication Along the River Valleys. The Description of Journeys along the Rivers Niemen, Vistula and Bug (1903). The analysis assumes the perspectives of cultural studies, linguistics, and literary studies to show a trans-cultural mindset of Gloger in his perception of the world.
