International audienceDetecting diseases early in pig farming is a promising way to help breeders monitor animal health, reduce antibiotic use and treat sick animals in a targeted manner. This study analysed individual water and feed consumption as a function of the live weight of weaned piglets and its relation to diarrhoea. Data were collected from 15 batches of 102 piglets each, using specific automata (i.e. connected feeders, connected drinkers, automatic weighing stations, RFID ear tags), and piglet health status was monitored daily.
