Presents a procedure for the solution of induction heating coupled non-linear electromagnetic and thermal problems. The procedure allows the use of finite element packages which separately solve the two problems. The experiences and the examples given confirm that the calculation results are reliable and that the procedure constitutes a powerful means for the designer of optimal inductor
