Several definitions have been proposed for the electrical power decomposition in non-sinusoidal situations. However, when the spectral characteristics of the input signals are known, all the power components corresponding to the different definitions can be easily evaluated. The paper presents some numerical algorithms suited for the estimation of the voltage and current spectral components, by which all the power components and other interesting load parameters can be evaluated. Simulation examples related to the power decomposition proposed by Czarnecki are reported, showing the high accuracy that can be obtained with numerical algorithms
