The landscape concept as a prodrome to the definition of biocultural fingerprint. The European Landscape Convention (2000), defines the landscape as part of a particular area, as perceived by people, whose character derives from the natural and /or humans factors and their interrelations. This definition of landscape contrasts with the need to find a lowest common denominator among the various meanings that the various disciplines give to best notion or idea of the landscape.
