International audienceIt is not rare to hear French students say that the pronunciation of English is too “difficult”, too “irregular”, or even too “different”. That is evidenced by the low marks that quite a number of students of English get in phonetics, which many consider to be the most difficult subject. However, all human beings possess the same speech organs, and that is why it would be wrong to say that there is such a thing as unpronounceable sounds for speakers of one language or another.
