Ammonia (NH3) volatilization losses result in low nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) and various environmental impacts in agroecosystems. Machine-transplanted rice with side-deep fertilization (MRSF) has been recommended as an effective alternative to traditional transplantation with manual broadcasting of fertilizer.
