INTRODUCTION: People living with diabetes in low-resource settings may be at increased hypoglycemia risk due to food insecurity and limited access to glucose monitoring. We aimed to assess hypoglycemia risk associated with sulphonylurea (SU) and insulin therapy in people living with type 2 diabetes in a low-resource sub-Saharan African setting. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS: This study was conducted in the outpatients' diabetes clinics of two hospitals (one rural and one urban) in Uganda.
