International audienceSimple Summary Intracranial meningiomas account for 30% to 40% of the primary lesions of the central nervous system. Surgery is the mainstay treatment whenever symptoms related to an intra-cranial meningioma are encountered. However, the management of recurrences after initial surgery, which are not uncommon, is still a matter of debate. Here, we present the alternatives described in the management of meningioma recurrence (radiotherapy, stereotaxic radiosurgery, protontherapy, and chemotherapy, among others). Their overall results are compared to surgery and future perspectives are presented.
