Inflammation has been well recognized to play an important role in developing coronary artery disease (CAD). By regulating essential genes in this pathway post-transcriptionally, MicroRNAs (miRNAs) may help or hinder the development of atherosclerotic lesions. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of miR-24-3p, miR-595, CCL3, CCL4, IL-1β, TNFαIP3, and NF-κBIα in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of CAD and control groups and to examine whether any correlation exists between the expression of miRs and genes in CAD group.
