This essay presents a summary of the scientific results of archaeological excavations carried out by the University of Udine on the site of the Great Baths (2002-2009), one of the largest and most important public buildings of Aquileia in Late Antiquity. As field director of the archaeological mission of the University of Udine at Aquileia, M. Rubinich presents here for the first time the periodization of the site, derived from analysis of the stratigraphy, and introduces the first publications of archaeological finds by young graduates who have studied them in their thesis.
