In 21st century, there are mounting concerns over issues such as agricultural product shortage and food availability due to urbanisation. Seed germination is the most fundamental factor that is directly influencing agricultural production and food availability. The seed germination process depends significantly on the water absorption rate and seed biological metabolism. Therefore, my research focuses on developing an efficient technology to promote seed germination process via hybrid treatment of MHz acoustic waves and plasma-activated water. The research outcome reports that hybrid treated seeds achieved a 217% higher water absorption rate and germinate 3.5 fold faster compared to untreated seeds
