There are several violence-related deaths across Nigeria which escape public knowledge primarily because they are not captured by the media. Such cases of ‘invisible’ yet destructive incidents vary from high to low-level violent occurrences with attendant loss of lives and disruption of livelihoods. The central objective of this study is thus to unravel and document such incidents in Isin and Oke-Ero Local Government Areas of Kwara State between 2006 and 2014.
