Workplace learning has formed part of preregistration training (now foundation training) for many years, and supervision of this is becoming more embedded into pharmacy education and development — both at foundation and advanced level. Effective supervision in pharmacy has been shown to improve the ability of trainees to manage challenges in the workplace and develop their roles[1]. It is important that pharmacists and pharmacy professionals develop the right knowledge and skills to effectively support and supervise trainees.
