This observationalso justifies the temptation to reflect on labour law from a global point ofview. Given that work guarantees subsistence for a considerable part of thepopulation in different states, labour law has an undeniable societal andeconomic impact and therefore is necessarily affected by the current crisis. This book reflects on what effectively constitutes labour law, considering questions which are not usual within labour law. Insights from philosophical, sociological and even economic standpoints are mobilised to reconcile the past with the future of labour law
