International audienceSince the advent of space asteroseismology, enabled by the CoRoT and Kepler space-craft, solar-like oscillations have appeared to be a common feature of low-mass stars from the main-sequence to the red-giant phases. In this context, scaling relations that relate asteroseismological quantities and stellar parameters are an essential tool in the study a large class of stars. Most of these relations concern the connection between pulsations and turbulent convection. Therefore, a deep investigation of this connection is necessary to obtain insight into the processes underlying mode driving and damping and consequently to improve our knowledge of the scaling relations.
