Introduction. The role of breast surgery in metastatic breast cancer is not clearly established in the literature. The main objective of this study is to analyze the overall survival at 5 years of patients who received locoregional surgery and systemic therapy compared to patients who received systemic therapy alone in the management of metastatic stage 4 breast cancer. The secondary objective is to identify a specific patient profile in whom locoregional surgery could improve overall survival by analyzing certain tumor or individual characteristics.
