International audienceThis article focuses on “recueils factices” or mazarinades Sammelbände. Long neglected in studies of the Fronde, these collections constitute the main framework through which mazarinades have been transmitted. Their study is rich in information about the interest shown in libels, especially by collectors, from the 17th century onwards. But we would like to show that these collections are not only a tool of conservation. The very fact of collecting (choosing, assembling, organizing…) participates to the discourse on the political crisis.
