ABSTRACTThis study falls within the scope of the analysis of the executive training policy and more particularly the higher education reforms. Based on official data from the MESRS and a qualitative and quantitative field survey conducted in ten Algerian universities and grandes écoles, we compare three experiences of higher education, taking as main input the process of professionalization, in particular the creation and extension Technological Institutes (IT) from 1963, the Overhaul of Higher Education or RES (1971-1984) and finally the "LMD Reform" applied since the start of the 2004-2005 academic year.
