Nanohardness and elastic modulus of enamel and dentin were measured by nanoindentation method with Vickers indenter. Our investigations on primary enamel are in agreement with the previous results on mature human enamel and indicate that visible differences can be found as function of elongation direction of the prisms and and anatomical planes of the studied tooth also reveal, that hardness depends on the calcium content of the enamel
