Flow State in Relation to the Creativity of Musicians

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv pozitīva saistība starp plūsmas stāvokli un radošumu mūziķiem. Respondentu izlase sastāv no 53 mūziķiem, no kuriem 26 ir profesionāli un 27 – amatieru. Mērījumiem tika izmantota Plūsmas stāvokļa skalas aptauja un novērojuma protokoli pēc Radošas mūzikas atbilstības kritērijiem. Rezutlāti liecina, ka plūsmas stāvoklim nav statistiski nozīmīga korelācija ar radošumu, līdz ar to pētījumā izvirzītā hipotēze tika noraidīta. Tika pierādīts, ka profesionāli mūziķi uzrāda augstāku radošumu muzikālajās kompozīcijās salīdzinot ar amatieru mūziķiem.The aim of the study was to find out whether there is a positive relationship between the state of flow and the creativity of musicians. The sample of respondents consists of 53 musicians, of which 26 are professional and 27 - amateur. The Flow State Scale survey and observation protocols according to The Creative Music Relevance Criteria were used for the measurements. The results show that the flow state does not have a statistically significant correlation with creativity, therefore the hypothesis of the study was rejected. It has been proven that professional musicians show higher creativity in musical compositions compared to amateur musicians
