In this note we report the new findings of two species of ornamental poeciliids: Xiphophorus hellerii, first record for Argentina, and Poecilia reticulata, first record for the Salí River basin and the province of Tucumán, and the second record for Argentina. The swordtails show a very special color pattern and are without doubt individuals from an artificial aquarium strain, not found in natural populations.Fil: Teran, Guillermo Enrique.
