This study analyzes whether the covid-19 can be legally considered an occupational disease in the case of health workers. The impasse has generated conflicting court decisions and legal debates. The research examines the forms of protection for health professionals, as well as the concept of work accident and occupational disease and its relationship with the exercise of work performed by these workers during the pandemic caused by covid-19. Subsequently, it studies the regulatory changes to contain the pandemic and its repercussions on jurisprudence.
